9th Annual Ohio Healthcare Information Technology Day


On April 27th, over 140 attendee's attended the 9th annual Ohio Health Information Technology Day (OHIT Day).  Over 100 attended in Columbus at the Ohio Statehouse Atrium and 40 attended at the HIMSS Innovation Center.  The Theme of the day was "Opioid Addiction RX reporting System - Ohio HB 341 & $1.5 million in funding. 

The Keynote speakers were  Rep. Robert Sprague R-83 - H.B. 341, Mandatory OARSS & PMP Gateway Funding, Steven Schierhold, Esq, Executive Dir., OSBP - OARRS & the PMP Gateway, Krishnan Sastry, Executive VP – Appriss, Inc, From HIMSS Innovation Center, Cleveland- Martin Harris, MD, CIO, Cleveland Clinic spoke.  In Columbus, Jason Buckner, VP of Operations, HealthBridge - Healthbridge HIE & OARRS and Dan Paoletti, CEO, Ohio Health Information Partnership - CliniSync HIE & OARRS.  After the Keynote speakers finished, the attendee's were asked to directly engage with state officials to address HIT for the benefits of Ohioans.  The attendee's in Cleveland were given the hour to network with their peers.

From 3:00 - 4:00 - there was a OHIT Day Panel - OARRS & the PMP Gateway - Moderator Jeff Haas, Chad Garner, Dir of OARRS, OSBP, Krishnan Sastry, Executive VP, Appriss, Robert White, MD, Associate CMIO, Cleveland Clinic, Walter Reiling, MD, CMIO, Premier Health System, Dan Paoletti, CEO, Ohio Health Information Partnership, and Jason Buckner, VP of Operations, HealthBridge.
