Helping Injured Veterans in partnership with Challenge America

HIMSS is excited to partner with national nonprofit Challenge America to launch the first Challenge America Makers for Veterans (CAMVETS) program in Cleveland on April 25-27, 2019. CAMVETS is designed to inspire health innovation by working directly with injured veterans to assess unmet needs. Veterans are paired with teams of experts for a 3-day “make-a-thon” to build solutions that can impact the lives of other veterans facing similar challenges.

CAMVETS partners include HIMSS, Veterans Administration of Northeast Ohio Healthcare System (VANEOHCS), the St. Edward High School Joseph & Helen Lowe Institute for Innovation, University Hospitals Office of Community Impact, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion, Baldwin Wallace University, and others.

The final showcase of solutions will take place at HIMSS Innovation & Conference Center. To learn more, go to www.challengeamerica.com/camvets
