On Aug. 9, HIMSS WorldWide President & CEO H. Stephen Lieber, CAE, provided his insights on the role of broadband technology in health IT to the City Club of Cleveland. His presentation was one of five in the series, Broadband: understanding the fiber of our region, presented by the City Club and OneCommunity, a nonprofit organization focused on the expansion of high-speed broadband access and adoption to strengthen Northeast Ohio.
As noted in his post on the HIMSS Blog, “I was honored to be part of this series, because I know how important the growth of broadband technology is to not only Northeastern Ohio, but for communities and health providers across the globe.”
Lieber highlighted the HIMSS Innovation Center as “a year-round destination” for audiences from healthcare providers that want to better understand how sharing of patient health information functions to vendors that want to introduce a new product.” The audience learned more about the Innovation Center and its prominence at the Global Center for Health Innovation.
